I have a question about this technique Sir. what is the correct method ? jump and receive the floor with the same leg and hand ? or with opposite leg and hand ? for example if you jump with your left leg you should receive the floor woth your left hand or with your right hand ?

I’m always impressed at how the recipients roll so smoothly with the technique and get back up in one motion. I’ve had people tell me how it helped them with rolling off the fall of motorcycles and bicycles. I remember one guy telling me that he tripped over a cinder block at work and he just rolled with the fall.

Why won’t they complete the throw with spirit is beyond me. This is why I prefer Yoshinkan although my 50 year old body might prefer this. That would be the joy reason. Tissier Sensei also Aikikai has a more aggressive style.

Hi, The weapons of Chiba Sensei are very interesting, but the reason I was looking for videos about him is because he was also very good at getting Kuzushi. If you could do a video about good Kuzushi, that would be great! I think Kuzushi is one the most important things in Aikido.

When Uke is walking his balance is on 1x4 inch across the bottom of his foot, one foot at a time. You don’t need all of this vast movement to break his balance and move his gravitational stability on 1 inch across the bottom of his foot to do technique. You only need to break the balance of the 1 inch across his foot. All of this freak show movement is way to much work. Take/use a boken and improve posture number one. And work centre to centre, yes turning the direction you are about to go but after taking centre or breaking ballance. In the packed pub this would not work big time. You wouldn’t stand a chance. The whole of the pub would beat the crap out of you for spilling all of their drinks and emptying the bar just because somebody tried to nick your iphone!! Watch this at zero:25 speed! It is rediculuse and embarrassing.
